Bio
Christie Bessinger is a composer & singer-songwriter from Clovis, CA. She began writing music shortly after being inspired by Mack Wilberg and the Tabernacle choir at age 19. She was trained on piano by one of Central California’s most talented musicians, Cheryl Nelson. Christie has been producing music alongside Kevin Memley, a world-renowned composer, since 2006. That same year she earned a degree in Psychology from Cal-State Fresno, and shorty after opened Christie’s Piano Studio, where she continues to teach aspiring musicians on the piano.
Christie’s music is inspired by her own life experiences, as well as those of family, friends, and the musicians she’s been fortunate to work with over the years. In addition to gospel music, she loves jazz, blues, rock, and contemporary piano, and loves to write original and cover songs. Her singer-songwriter album, “All the Wrong Guys” was released on iTunes in August 2018. She has been featured on Fresno State Radio, Jewel Fm gallery, Sky Fm Radio, and at the Simi Valley Community Christmas.
Christie’s next project is a collection of Christian hymn arrangements, release date TBA.
